The Richard W. Ripke Registry

  • Richard was my co-worker at Chalk Hill and good friend. What stands out about Richard was his great sense of humor. One story out of many is that every morning before school Richard and a group of teachers would be having coffee in the teachers’ room. Then the school buses with the kids would arrive. Richard’s famous words were, “We’re being attacked” or “Here comes the enemy.” Richard loved his family and would always rave about his grandchildren playing basketball, tennis, etc. My deepest sympathy to the family for their great loss.

  • Condolences to Richard. I was an Orcutt Boys Club member and 1969 Boy of The Year. Richard and family were neighbors in Bridgeport . I was a good friend with his brother Edward. Rich was always admired by all for his fun loving ways and his basketball abilities. He was someone to look up to. His parents were special people. They were of German descent and gave him strong values . He was a special guy and more looked up to than he knew. Prayers for Richard - be proud of his youth as well.
