The Robert Reynold Awalt Registry

  • My condolences to Carol, Laurie and Jon. Cousin Bob and I first met about 60 years ago in California. He was just getting out of the army. He, my dad and I spent several days together and we all enjoyed the visit. Bob really admired my dad, Ken Awalt, and he always spoke very highly of him. Bob and Carol were gracious hosts when we visited them several years ago and gave us a great tour of the area. I miss him and the phone conversations we shared over the years.

  • Jon and Laurie
I am sorry for the passing of your father. I will cherish the memories I have of the times my path crossed with his, and having in common, the same father as his. The first time I met him was in California when he was in the Army, and as a young boy, did I look up to him. I was quite surprised and pleased, when Pam and I moved east, that his annual vacation spot (Lancaster, PA), was on the very route I took weekly to my place of employment! My family and I really enjoyed meeting up with you and yours there. Tho Bob and my dad died early on, Bob reminded me of our dad in so many ways, and when I was with him I felt as if I was in the presence of our dad.
    Love, Richard
