The Donald Samatulski Registry
I am deeply saddened to hear of Don’s passing. I met him through my fiancee, Mark Karagus, who was a friend of Don’s. I would see Don once in a while at the Sports Center in Shelton and he was always so pleasant and caring. He was nice enough to help my daughters with applications for summer jobs at the Sports Center even though we had only just met. We will miss him and will keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy to Donnie’s family.
It was truly a shock to hear the saddened news of Donnie’s passing.
We have been friends for many years, playing Biddy basketball and traveling to Pittsfield Mass. when we were twelve years old to play All-stars.
Recently, we would sit and talk at Shelton Golf and he will always be remembered as such a sincere, kind person who possessed a big heart.
May he be at Peace,

Don was a great coach and a great friend. He pushed us to be the best we could in all aspects of life and golf. His main concern was always for us to be happy and smiling. He will be remembered as a major part of the SHU golf family forever and will be missed by all of us. Thank you Don for your generosity, teachings, and smile. I’ll be forever grateful and honored that I met such an incredible and outstanding person. Rest in peace.

To Kara and the Samatulski family: I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Don and Mary Ellen and I went to High School together and later he taught me how to play golf as the pro at Rock Ridge CC. My husband and I were very fond of Don and respected his professionalism. I am truly sorry to read of his early passing. May he rest in peace. Fondly, Sue Galian

What a wonderful man and teacher who so loved and was so proud of his daughter and everything she did. He taught me at Racebrook Country Club and continued to be a friend and mentor.
