Raymond G. Bagley, Jr., age 71, of Shelton, entered into rest on Saturday August 5, 2017 in Yale New Haven Hospital. He is the devoted husband of 35 years to Patricia (MacDaniel) Bagley. Mr. Bagley was born in Derby on September 30, 1945 son of the late Gerard and Marguerite (Casagrande) Bagley and has been a Shelton resident for over 32 years. He was a printer for Volk Inc. for many years before continuing his career with CCL Label until his retirement. He was a member of the Master Printers of America. Raymond was an avid golfer, and a former assistant golf coach at Warren Hardening High School. He was a diehard fan of NASCAR, the NY Yankees, and the New England Patriots.
He is the beloved father of Raymond G. Bagley, Jr., Ryan J. Bagley, and Shawn M. Bagley. He is the cherished grandfather of Raymond G. Bagley, III, the loving brother of Joseph V. Bagley, Sr., and Marie Bagley Savoyski, and her husband Richard. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Floyd, and Mary MacDaniel, Jr., his Brothers-in-law Floyd MacDaniel and his wife Betsy, Finn MacDaniel, Michael MacDaniel, and Mark MacDaniel, and his wife Deann. Raymond also leaves his dear friends Peter and Darline Caluori, several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet his family on Thursday from 3 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Friday his funeral procession will begin at the funeral home at 9:45 AM
for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. At the request of his family memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org , the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or the the Autism Society at autismspeaks.org.
